CLI Tools

Joy and Jyn are available as single-binary Rust CLIs. See their respective docs for full feature lists:

Joyint App

Desktop - macOS, Windows, and Linux, built with Tauri and SolidJS. Opens your local projects: board, roadmap, items, chats with people and AI members, AI jobs. Free on local projects.

Forge sync - Connect a repository on GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, or Codeberg. The platform keeps its clone in sync, so the web app shows what you push and your repo receives what changes on the web.
Sign-in - With GitHub or by email.
AI jobs - Jobs run in isolated containers with Claude Code or Mistral Vibe, within a cost and token budget, and wait for human review.
AI budgets - Per-job limits, monthly caps per key, and a team budget with a per-member share.
Cost overview - This month's AI spend per key, per team budget, and per member.
Team chats - Chats with people and AI members, encrypted in your repo.
Multi-user projects - Members with their own capabilities and interaction levels.

VS Code Extension

Backlog tree, item editor, and board inside VS Code, with start, submit, and close actions. The extension calls the joy CLI.

Plugins

joy-<name> binaries add their own commands. The joy-bi plugin renders milestone and velocity charts in the app.

Planned

Task Sync

Sync Jyn tasks with Apple Reminders through CalDAV, with reminders for tasks that have a due date.

Notifications

Get notified about status changes, mentions, and blocked items. Today the platform sends emails only for sign-in and subscription matters.

Forge Issue Sync

Two-way sync between Joy items and forge issues, with your .joy/ directory as the source of truth.

Jon

Natural language interface for Joy and Jyn: a pattern router for instant offline responses and an external LLM for complex reasoning, in the terminal and in the app.
